The terms that apply when you book an appliance repair with Kolkata Home Appliance Solutions.

These Terms & Conditions apply to the website kolkataappliancesolutions.in and to every repair service booked with Kolkata Home Appliance Solutions ("we", "us" or "our"). By booking a service through our website, by phone, or over WhatsApp, you agree to these terms. Please read them before you book.
What we do
Our Services
We are an independent doorstep repair service operating in and around Kolkata. We repair air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, microwave ovens, geysers and water purifiers.
- Service is provided at your home or premises, within the areas we cover.
- Appointment slots are subject to technician availability and are confirmed by us before the visit.
- Some repairs may need a second visit, for example when a spare part has to be arranged.
- We may decline a job if the appliance is unsafe to work on, if the required part is not available, or if the fault is beyond repair.

Booking a Service
How to book
You can book through the enquiry form on our website, by calling us, or by messaging us on WhatsApp. A booking is confirmed only once we have spoken to you and agreed a date and time slot.
Information you give us
Please give us accurate details of your appliance, the fault, and your address. Wrong or incomplete details can delay the visit or lead to a wasted trip.
Access on the day
An adult should be present during the visit. Please make sure the appliance is reachable, and that power and water supply are available where the repair needs them.
Charges
Inspection Charge, Pricing and Payment
Inspection charge. A visit and inspection charge applies to every technician visit and is payable whether or not the repair is carried out. This charge is non-refundable. The amount will be told to you before the technician is sent, so there are no surprises.
Repair charges
Once the technician has inspected the appliance, you will be given the cost of the repair, including any spare parts needed. Work begins only after you approve that cost. If you decide not to go ahead, only the inspection charge is payable.
Spare parts
Spare parts are charged in addition to labour, at the rate quoted to you at the time. Availability and price of parts can vary by brand and model.
Payment
We do not take any advance payment. You pay after the service is completed, on the same visit. Prices shown anywhere on our website or in our advertising are indicative and the final amount depends on the actual fault and parts used.
Changes to a booking
Cancellation and Rescheduling
- You can cancel or reschedule at any time by calling or messaging us. Please tell us as early as you can so we can offer the slot to someone else.
- There is no charge if you cancel before the technician has been sent out.
- If the technician has already reached your location, the inspection charge applies.
- If nobody is available at the address at the agreed time, or the technician cannot access the appliance, the visit is treated as completed and the inspection charge applies.
- We may reschedule a visit due to technician illness, traffic, weather or other reasons beyond our control. We will inform you and offer the earliest alternative slot.
Our promise
30 Days Service Warranty
We stand behind our work. Every completed repair carries a 30 day service warranty, counted from the date of service.
What is covered
- The repair work carried out by our technician
- Any spare part we supplied and fitted during that repair
- A free revisit if the same fault returns within 30 days — no inspection charge, no labour charge
What is not covered
- A new or unrelated fault in the same appliance
- Damage caused by misuse, mishandling, physical impact, water ingress, pests or power fluctuation
- Any work done on the appliance by another person or agency after our visit
- Normal wear and tear, and routine cleaning or servicing
- Parts supplied by you rather than by us
To claim the warranty, contact us on the same phone number or email and mention the date of the original service.
Important
We Are an Independent Service Provider
Kolkata Home Appliance Solutions is an independent repair service. We are not an authorised service centre and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of any appliance brand or manufacturer.
Brand names and logos shown on our website are used only to indicate the makes of appliance we are able to repair. All trademarks, brand names and logos remain the property of their respective owners.
A repair carried out by us may affect any manufacturer warranty still active on your appliance. If your appliance is under the manufacturer's warranty, please check with the brand's authorised service centre before booking with us. Our full position is set out on our Disclaimer page.
Responsibility
Limitation of Liability
- Our technicians take due care while working at your premises. Our responsibility is limited to the repair work we carry out and to the service warranty described above.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, for the age or general condition of the appliance, or for a fault developing in a part we did not touch.
- We are not responsible for indirect losses such as food spoilage, loss of business, inconvenience or the cost of hiring a replacement appliance.
- Please move away valuables and fragile items from the work area before the technician begins.
- Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer law in India.

Refunds
Since payment is taken only after the service is completed, refunds arise rarely. The situations where they do are explained on our Refund Policy page.

We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking is the one that applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal.
